Capcom-a-day: Catch up

After finishing my one-month-worth "Darkstalkers Tribute" submission (sorry, y'all, can't show the pic publicly as respect to Udon and Capcom's rules of submission), I decided to do some catch-up on some of my things. No Pink Ponies will be updating soon and also... Capcom-A-Day!! Catch up time, I'm going to hopefully post 3 Capcom-A-Day everyday to catch up to current upcoming dates... here's hoping... and now, the first three...

Hopefully, more coming soon.

Capcom-a-day: Dimitri

I missed yesterday's Capcom-a-day, but tomorrow, I'll be going off to my granma's and I'm going for 3 days, so I'm probably gonna have to make 4 Capcom characters when I get back... I'll sort that out when the time comes, for now, enjoy today's Capcom-A-Day, Dimitri from Darkstalkers.

Capcom-A-Day: Morrigan Aensland

Today, I draw Morrigan Aensland... and yes, I kinda over-exaggerated on the chest area... whoops?

Capcom-A-Day: Megaman Legends

To make up for three days (including today), I present three Capcom characters, Rock, Roll and Tron... or in the western hemisphere, Mega, Roll and Tron.

YONGUMIX STRIKES AGAIN!!!!

Hello peeps! This is YonGumix #4! Bigger, better, stronger than ever!!! We're selling these babies at Comic Fiesta 2008 at Sunway Convention Centre on both Saturday and Sunday!! So see you guys there!!! (and if I see you there, you better be buying this book!!! Because it's fun!!! REALLY!!!!!!) Thanks very much!!!!!

(Terry Prachett writes that someone who writes with more than 4 exclamation marks is truly insane, and now past midnight and faced with the prospect of waking up early on a weekend, it feels truly justified!!!!!!)

Capcom-A-Day: Ryu

I've decided to do a daily drawing activity which I will call Capcom-A-Day, as in, I draw one Capcom character every day. This'll be something to keep me drawing fun "me" stuff every day that doesn't involve deadlines or being a comic.

Today's Subject, Ryu

That Myspace face

.. that I took from Deviantart (I noted her and credit her and everything so prz do not be suing) and then I drew on it and slap on textures and random brushes from either Angryblue and Magurno! Or both! I am so lame. Quickie art for stress relief.

Karas Overture

I'm putting together a CD single, a fan tribute to Tatsunoko Production's Karas.
Here's a link to the music: Karas_Overture.mp3
Or drop by to myspace music!

Contour drawing with ballpoint pen and brushes on recycled cardboard.

AAAAAAA

Damn COD 4 :P

Are you GARR for GURREN LAGANN?!!

I didn't post a notice here earlier; In April, I went to Tokyo for a week-long family vacation. It was a lovely time in a foreign land for me...a good thing too, since I'm pretty bummed that I have to pass on San Diego this summer because of unexpected circumstances (eg. $5000+ for return tickets to/from LAX...wtfomgbbq).

I won't be writing about the vacation though, because I am too lazy (it's 1 a.m. and the weekend's just started...jelly limb time). I'll try to post the photos I took now and then.

I did however plonked obscene amount of cash on shopping, buying stuff like the ones below:

Akihabara is a DANGEROUS place for a Gurren Lagann fan. This photo doesn't even include the other GL books I bought like the Groundworks and numerous doujinshi.

And thus, this post is a segway to a GL fan art I whipped up after work at the office, featuring Yoko from the back.

All drawn and coloured in Photoshop+Painter. Yoko may seem like a fan-service for the GL novice, but I grew to really like her character!

Crisis Core Aeris

Having fun with the game so far!

The Dragonslayer

Just some ideas that are flying in my head currently. It's been a long time since I did a cel-style poster... kinda miss it.

Happy Eid Mubarak!

To all who celebrate it, rejoice after a month of fasting and self control! Aku balik kampung malam ni mampus jam woo!

Balik kampuuuung ~ Ho ho ho balik kampuuuungggg ~ Hati giiraaanggg ~

Avatar Celebration...

Everybody's doing it, ha ha ha ha.

Though, rest assured, I'm not doing it cos everybody is... I was inspired by them, but I've always wanted to draw a more serious Avatar group shot.

Sang Kelembai

Sang Kelembai is from a local Malaysian folk monsters/characters that can turn people into stone just by talking to them. There's
some dispute over whether Kelembai is male or female, but since my version is inspired by Diamondhead from Ben10, I decided to make him male.

This was done for Pergh's Character Redesign battle.

Yon Gumi at Comiworld

There will be an event called ComiWorld and the Yon Gumi gang will be there! We will be sharing twin booths with an acquaintance group called Tabula Rasa and we will be selling our Yon Gumix Preview Special (cover and content sample above). The event will be held on the 18th-20th of August and we will be there on the 18th and 19th, at Cineleisure, Damansara from 11am to 8pm.

So, come on down and let's have some fun.

Bears!

Armoured polar bears duel from the The Golden Compass. Didn't quite capture the ferocity and intensity of the scene I read, and the angle kinda suck but well. Gotta learn to draw more bears!
